In 1996, Sheriff Sid Lockhart organized a rodeo to help purchase much needed equipment for his department that his budget would not allow. The rodeo was extremely successful and immediately became an annual event. Now in its 20th year, the rodeo has grown much bigger than Sheriff Lockhart had ever imagined. The 17th Annual Rodeo set attendance records. The United States Army "Silver Wings" Parachute Demonstration Team headlined the opening ceremony by parachuting into the center of the arena during the playing of the National Anthem.
The rodeo is held at the Chambers County Agricultural Park, and we work hard throughout the year making improvements to the arena to appeal to both our spectators and vendors.
Be sure to visit our site frequently as we will post next years' rodeo dates soon.
If you are interested in becoming a vendor for the rodeo, contact Major Parrish at (334) 864-4333.
