Yellow DOT Program

The Chambers County Sheriff Department works in association with the Chambers County Fire Departments in promoting and utilizing the Yellow DOT Program.  The Yellow Dot Program is designed to assist residents and first responders in the event of an accident or medical emergency. The Yellow DOT Program can help save lives by improving communication at a time when victims may not be able to communicate for themselves.

Each participant in the program will have a picture taken, complete a personal information form and be given a Yellow Dot folder and decal. All of the essential information will be placed into a folder and then into the glove box of the participant’s car.

If you sign up, a Yellow DOT is placed on the back window of your car.  That lets first responders know you have important medical information listed in your glove compartment, everything from medical conditions and allergies to physician and emergency contact information.

The program offers participants a way to give vital medical information to first responders if they are unable to physically or verbally communicate.

It is a free service provided to individuals of all ages, with a special emphasis on senior citizens.
